Learning From Home

Mission!

Operation Love for H.P.C. (Hard Places and Cases) was established by One Church of Jacksonville as an innovative program to promote togetherness and academic excellence to ensure that students have access to high-quality out-of-school/classroom learning. We aim to ensure that students’ academic, social, and emotional needs are addressed and connected outside of the classroom experience. Our aim and purpose for Duval County is to provide out-of-school time to address the disproportionate impact of non-traditional educational choices.

Operation Love will provide ten months of family support, free of charge, to children, families, and communities who have chosen non-traditional or home school environments in Northwest Duval County. During these challenging times parents, students, or communities will not have to settle or be measured by a lower standard of educational quality or conditions. In addition, we will provide various times of counseling, training, mentoring, health and wellness, financial and social enrichment opportunities, and materials.

  • Strategic Goal 3.1: We aim our efforts to meet students’ social, emotional, and mental health, well-being, and academic success. It is a combination of a balance of both worlds designed for lifelong learners and success. We will aim to provide opportunities and an environment to think, reason, and articulate what they are learning through hands-on, out-of-class experiences for the student and the family/parents/guardians.

  • Strategic Goal 3.2: We aim to foster supportive, inclusive, identity-safe learning environments and ensure the individual needs of underserved students are met through appropriately designed instructions, evidence-based practices, and related supports and services.

  • Strategic Goal 3.3: We aim to strengthen learning environments, and support, improve and encourage the persons by providing instructions.
